MediaCluster in brief

The MediaCluster pursues the objective of concentrating media expertise and creating new strengths in the media industry. The initiative focuses on establishing networks, promoting innovation and training employees. Meanwhile many Media experts and media enterprises from the future region (including the countries Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Italy and Austria) joined the initiative.

Officially the MediaCluster project started on the so called Media Day 2003 in Graz, Austria, which was opened by EU-commissioner Viviane Redding who is responsible for information society and media. Since then a lot of events and workshops where organized. The aims of the initiative where introduced to a large audience in Ljubljana, Zagreb as well as Pecs and students of journalism from the future region where repeatedly invited to Styria to discuss current media-topics. Moreover the MediaCluster deepened the border-crossing relationships between media enterprises.

Many results of the initiative are documented on this website. Please notice that most of the information is given in German.
